In November of 2005, an idea was born. Founders Brian Smith and Michael Pagel envisioned a special store, unique to Saint Louis, where a man could find refined clothing that would mean more to him than the material it’s composed of. This clothing would define a man both in his professional and social lives; this store would help him celebrate his individuality while expressing his personality in a comfortable environment. From that idea, that vision, came Saint Louis’ first contemporary Men’s Clothing Store, Mōris Fashions.

In May of 2010, Brian and Michael expanded their vision to include refined women's clothing. Along with their new buyer, Emily Ponath, they opened an adjoining women's clothing store where they showcased a perfect mix of wear-to-work pieces and casual chic weekend wear. Now upon visiting Mōris you can choose to enter the men's or women's side of the store, which are separate in design, but united in refined taste.

The name Mōris comes from the Latin phrase “Mos Mōris”, which means the will, the inclination, or the drive as it relates to custom. Translated this is the drive to define a person’s sense of style as an expression of one’s inner self.

Mōris Fashions provides men and women with the necessary tools to refine this expression of style with its offerings of premium designer label apparel and accessories from across the world. Coupled with the ability to design custom garments to cater to specific needs this makes Mōris Fashions: The Place for Men's and Women's Clothing.
